Baby A {Tisdale Saskatchewan Newborn and Maternity Photographer}

Probably one of the most beautiful babies I have ever had a chance to see, let alone photograph.  Little Miss A stole my heart from the moment I laid eyes on her.  Her Mommy and Daddy are undoubtedly very proud and have every right to be!  I had the honor of photographing these two one chilly winter afternoon as well as spending some quality time with Miss. A. one afternoon soon after her arrival.  I won’t get into too much detail with stories or sentimental gooshiness…I’ll just let the images do the talking.

Just wanted to say, thanks again guys for allowing me to capture those moments for you.  It truly was an honor.:)

Vanessa

What a little angel! Beautiful shots Vanessa!

Nipawin Fun! {Northeast Saskatchewan Photography}

It’s been a crazy busy week over here with Trade Shows, Kids, and life!  :)  But as always I wouldn’t trade it for the world.  I would just like to send a shout out to the fantastic community of Nipawin Saskatchewan for an amazing Trade Show!  What a gorgeous community filled with some pretty fantastic people.  I was right next to M&M Garlic (who have inspired me to grow my own this year…and to make sure I buy at least one of everything of theirs in the next little while), Some gorgeous ladies from Gold Canyon, Fifth Avenue, and Scentsy…as well as many more!  AND I traveled with my Momma who works for Newsask community futures.  If you’ve ever thought of starting your own business, whether it’s photography, carpentry, or a garlic farm…talk to them.  I went through a community futures office (Sagehill) to start my business and it made a world of a difference to have someone like Susan and the staff to support me through the whole process.  Anyway, I just want to say thanks to everyone who stopped by (while my attention span allowed me to stand there) and said hi!  If you have any questions regarding a custom photography experience please don’t hesitate to call or email me:).  I love to chat about photography!

This photo was taken at Nipawin Regional Park:)

Beautiful! I love the glow :)

The Golden Hour {Tisdale, Nipawin, Melfort Saskatchewan Photography}

It’s quite evident I love sun flare.  Light is what usually draws me to a setting for portraits.  It could be the most beautiful place you have ever set your eyes on…but if there is no light…I’m not inspired.

In comes the term “the Golden Hour”

Aside from having someone to watch my children so I don’t have to lock them in the closet (THAT WAS A JOKE!  I DO NOT LOCK MY CHILDREN IN THE CLOSET) I like to schedule sessions in the evening.  preferably so we can shoot during the last hour before the sun sets.  This is when the sun is not only less harsh, it casts a gorgeous, warm, diffused light to play with.  If you’ve ever wanted to try to play with sun flare or back lighting…this is the time to bust out the camera and give it a shot.  It sometimes takes some post processing or a reflector to save a great moment or image from a lighting disaster…but it’s worth it in my opinion.  I am no expert, I self taught every part of my photography experience from the beginning until now (other than the business side…goodness me I need all the help I can get in that aspect)

Lovely shots as usual Vanessa!!!

Light and Life {Melfort Saskatchewan Portrait Photographer}

Spring is highly anticipated in our neck of the woods.  With it comes warmth, light, life…and the golden hour.  oh yes…my favourite time of day!   Well, spring appears to be here (in between these every so annoying snow storms dumping up to 45 inches of snow in some areas) and we were fortunate enough to schedule this session on one of the most beautiful days we’ve had this year.  SO…with spring, and the golden hour…comes SUN FLARE!  And since I’m such an addict…why not chalk the whole session full of it!  he he he.

This family is so amazing.  They are filled with light and life much like the warmth of spring.  I can not express how fortunate I am to have crossed so through so many paths of such fabulous people.  It is truly a blessing to be able to help capture memories for a family like this.  Thanks so much you guys!

Vanessa

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice! {Northeast Saskatchewan Portrait Photographer}

If there were ever a woman who just NEEDED to have girls…it’s Jenn.  I love her to bits and always have.  Her energy, beauty, personality…purely contagious.  She is exactly who that sweet little saying “sugar and spice and everything nice…that’s what little girls are made of” was written for.  Naturally, she and her husband Matt have two of the most beautiful little angels to call their own…and to rock their momma’s stellar sense of style.  :)  I have to share…how can I not!  Another gorgeous family, who have moved away, but are still home grown in Tisdale Sk:).
